Thank you. I've had 3 cases on my land, 2 fatal. The quicker that something can be found to help prevent or cure this horrid illness the better.

We've just had our first case in a 6yo cob mare (fatal). I know people who have grazed this land for over 40 years and it seems to be the first ever case, so obviously was a bit of a shock. I myself have bred several horses here and kept many more. 
It wasn't one of mine who died but now it's in my mind/ Fascinating research and fingers crossed it helps take things forwards.

This is in part, I suspect, due to those super owners who have lost their horses to this dreadful sickness providing the data following the tragic loss of their horses.

I tried to offer my gelding in 1999. He was PTS after 2 weeks of trying to save him but we live too far away
