Following on from my post with the sweat patch on Ren's neck

When he is eating his tea, he has started to eat a little bit of his dinner and then he stops and struggles to swollow?
He has dribble coming out of his mouth this last's for around 10 mins.. He then is ok and carry's on eating his dinner.

on the last post of my post above someone said about Grass sickness but I do not know much about it.

Would the eating thing and the sweat patch mean this?

It's def not nerve damage.

I have in which they said it sounds like he is bolting his food down to much so add water

I said about Grass sickness to them and they do not think its that.
 
If he normally sweats more in that patch then I wouldnt worry.
Have his teeth been done recently?
Whats he being fed?
 
Has he dropped weight recently? Is there any discharge from his nose? Has he got the shakes even if mild? Is he drinking ok? Is he pooing and weeing? Have you noticed anything different with his eyes? How old is he? Has he recently moved fields, changed field or been under a lot of stress? Has he got saliva round his mouth?
Sorry for the tons of questions but there is so many different symptons to GS.
The only way to confirm if it is GS is to take a biopsy of the gut wall and test it, as GS destroys these so what food goes in can't get processed and come out the other end.
 
Spoken to the vet and they think its nerve damage where the sweat patch is and for him eating we have taken the Redigrass out of the food and he has not done it since!

I think it was to dry for him and it was getting stuck and he was having a little bit of choke.

Seems to be all ok now

Vet said its not GS!
