Mine gang have been in the hay field all winter and although there is still some grazing left I am thinking its time to shut it up to allow it to grow for this years crop! I set up, for the first time, a grass track about May last year in their summer field. I am seriously considering setting it up now though as they could all do with losing a bit of weight before spring. Is this too early though and will it just become a muddy poached track? Should I wait until the ground dries out a bit?
