My mare has a couple of grass ulcers on her lips, there are no buttercups or nasties in her field and the grass is short as she is a fatty and they have free access to a himalayan salt lick. This mare had them last year at this time although my other two geldings kept in the same field dont have any!? I wonder if anyone had an idea what might be causing them and also what to put on them, at the moment I am using demoline cream.
