I have set up a VERY quick and easy survey that is hopefully going to give me some information on the average horse owner/carer's grassland management. It is a pre-curser to a research paper that I am going to be writing so is very basic for now. If you have 30 seconds to spare please could you fill it in? https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PDV3HR9

You need a button for agricultural college, fellow farmers, and practical experience! I assume you are wanting advice on how to advertise and sell supplements in which case my reply won't be of much help as I believe most are snake oil and mirrors but that's just cynical old me.

No not advertising anything as I said it is a very basic pre-curser to some specific equine grassland based research - as there is so little of it out there. I put the "other" button there so that you could add your own answer - local farmers already has a button.

I would have PMd this to you but you don't have enough posts yet to have PMs

I hope I'm not teaching grandma to suck eggs, but when you do your research are you going to include the fact that 'unmanaged' multi-species, unfertilized grazing is the best food for horses if you have enough area to provide it? My local farmers are horrified at what I've (not) done to my grazing!

My land is much the same, no fertiliser goes near the fields, it gets grazed down, then rested and does not always look pretty but is safer than fields of lush grass full of nitrogen rich grass that is too good for horse to graze, compared with the adjoining cattle pasture it doesn't look great.
