I tried to go show jumping today - first time I've managed to get out for ages so was really excited.. My horse who has never had a problem loading threw a paddy. He now has 5 staples in his head and I suspect I've broken my finger (so apologies for dodgy one handed typing!) It bloody hurts, I'm going to get a vet bill, we're probably going to have loading issues to deal with and I still haven't managed to go anywhere. I know it could be a lot worse - its nothing that won't mend but I'm feeling very sorry for myself.
OH has just gone off on a climbing holiday for a week so I'm not even getting any sympathy. I don't normally ask, but any spare hugs would be appreciated!

here's some *hugs*
You poor thing - that's so rotten!
Glad your horse has been seen to and patched up, but hadn't you better get to the hospital and get that finger seen to, too?
Get well soon, both of you!

Oh what bloody bad luck! I'm sorry about your finger, and your poor ned.
Hope you both get on the mend soon!!

Thank you (tucks into G&T and chocolate with gratitude!)
I hate hospitals. I've stuck finger to the next one with a plaster as I recon that's all A&E would do anyway! How hard am I :-)

Many hugs for you and ned, go to A@E as soon as poss. But what went wrong?????

Only thing I can think of is that I've been sharing a lorry so hadn't put him in a trailer for about a year. He's never been a problem to load before in lorries or trailers. He went on ok but rushed out backwards before my friend could get the bar up. Got him to walk through a couple of times (hurting my hand in the process) then I tried to get him to stand, he went out backwards, reared and hit his head.

Oh wow thats a pretty cr8ppy end to the day!! Poor you. Hope horsey and finger is ok!

Bloody animals, why do we do it!
