I have some spare well fenced, sheltered grazing with a water supply. Also use of yard for farrier/vet etc. Stable for use in emergency only.

Friend wants a field for 2 eventers to have a winter holiday.

How much do you pay for grazing and how much should I charge.

I need some cash just now as house sale has been delayed due to buyers pulling out. It is now sold to new buyers but will all take a bit longer and new house is costing megabucks to renovate. At the same time I don't want to overcharge a friend.

I an in Herts.

My fields cost around £80 pound a year per acre me and a friend share fields, but my best field which is very secure where i built my stable and feed shed costs £50 a month for 4 acres.

Grass livery is pretty rare over winter - in summer I would say between £15-£20 pw or £80 pm as Herts is pretty expensive. And usually that is in a massive field with a huge herd, not individual fields.

I have 3 in a field that has one large stable i leave open for shelter, water supply and is approx 4 acres.
This is in Herts and for the 1st 2 i was paying £15 a week per horse and he has just said that the 3rd horse i can have for £10 a week.

£8 per week with stable and storage for feed and hay

I pay £10 per week for my mare and £15 through the winter as haylage is constantly in the field
All year round i pay £5 per week for my youngster
