Hi guys,

if anyone knows any places that have 24/7 grazing in/near Reading.. (I live in Spencers Wood, so prefer as close to there as possible...i am from up north and still dont know many places to say :s)

Its for a yearling filly.

Just a field will do but would prefer a sheltered area and somewhere to tie up if possible?

thanks in advance to anyone who replies...

I've always found a 'drive around' is always good - look out for yards/fields with company if that's what you want (assuming you will with a filly) and just call in and ask - local people always know of other fields going if they themselves cannot help, especially this time of year with lots of grass. Best of luck!

I have tried but i haven't got the guts to venture out to far as i have no idea where i am....

Might be worth a post in breeding. With a yearling filly you presumably want somewhere with other youngstock for company? Breeding section may be able to point you in direction of studs/hobby breeders in that area.

If you get stuck I can suggest somewhere north of Reading, DIY grass (with services if required), herd grazing - they have a broodmare/youngstock herd and a yard/school too. Would be a pain to get to from Spencers Wood though, need to cross Reading, nightmare!!
