My mini is currently sectioned off within my cob's small paddock so that he gets even less grass than the cob. This would work fine if he didn't keep escaping to be with his friend

(Who visits him during the day by popping the low fence anyway)

The grass in my cob's paddock is pretty short as he puts on weight easily so I'm worried that if I put the mini in with him with a grazing muzzle he won't be able to reach any grass at all.

So, can anyone recommend a mini (he's 34") sized grazing muzzle that will allow him to get some grass even if it's quite short?

If you Google Best Friend Grazing Muzzle you should find a supplier. I use one for my small shetland and I believe they make one for really small horses. It is very effective and he does not mind wearing it. It means he can be out in a big field with the TB.

Thanks for your replies, do you know whether they will still let him eat when the grass is short?

I stand to be corrected but i thought muzzles were better on shorter grass, as the longer grass just bends over when they try to eat. Might be wrong though!!!! Ive never used them but i recommend both companies as ive had other things from them both

Sally, one of my girls sussed straight away that all she had to do was wriggle her nose from side to side and the long grass poked through.
