Hi everyone.

Some of you will have seen my posts on my pony's recent (unconfirmed) bout of laminitis.
Anyway, she is a good does so she has had her own paddock fenced off with minimal grass. The problem is, she doesn't want to be in there, she wants to be with everyone else on the grass. Her pair bond is very underweight at the moment so is getting extra time on the lush grass while the rest are on the decent grass. My pony is not alone in her bare paddock, she has a companion.
Anyway, my pony keeps jumping the two, 4ft 6in gates to get in with the others. Stabling is not an option as she hates it and I worry she will attempt to jump out of there also!

So my next thought is the grazing muzzle. At the minute she is in the bare paddock with others over night, and so she would only need a muzzle from about 10am to 5pm each day. There are staff onsite who can put the muzzle on for me in the morning. Any suggestions on the best one? She is a clever little madam so will need to be as un-removable as possible!

Thanks

Mine has a green guard. Rubbed his chin slightly so he has a bald patch. He wears his 24/7 and has no problems.

^^ wish I had seen them .

Mines got a shires bucket one and has had it on constantly for the past 2 days (and not managed to get it of), he much prefers it to pony jail and gets to stay with his mate (poor do-er older tb) so gets all the benefits of running round with him to. Has rubbed him a little but he is sensitive skinned .

Put the shires one on our section D today, the first time in 3 years as we had little grass in recent times, but now it's far to lush. She looked a bit confused and worried she has lost the technique.

I use a shires bucket one on mine, although I did have to get a full size when he takes a cob bridle as the cob one rubbed under his chin.

He's had his on for the 1st time this year today, just for a few hours - he didn't look impressed! Hopefully he'll remember what to do in a few days!!
