Is it mean to leave a grazing muzzle on 27/4? Does anyone do it?
About to move to summer paddocks where normally live out, and don't really want to section as will be difficult.

My mare wears a greenguard muzzle with head collar, she's been wearing it for nearly 3years now. However, she's only turned out for 4-5hours every afternoon, then stabled at night with soaked hay to have a rest from it. I personally wouldn't leave it on over night as if she got caught there would be no one around.

My little cob lives out and has his muzzle on 24/7. Not mean at all. He can still eat and it means he is not going to get ill. I take mine off twice a day and clean out the chewed up bits and and mud/sticks that he has managed to get stuck on the inside. I have actually found that wearing it all the time it is less likely to rub. When he first started wearing it I just put a bit of vaseline on his face if there were any little rubs.
