We've started using a grazing muzzle on Little Cob (moved yards and too much grass, though LL is doing okay on it ).

He's had it on 24/7, other than ten minutes or so whilst we do feet, etc., for the last few days. He's a fat, very hairy cob (must bib clip at least).

I went up today and it was quite warm and sweaty in the muzzle, so I've taken it off and I think I'll leave it off for the next few days, at least until the temp drops a bit on Sunday.

What does everyone else do with muzzles when it's this hot?

We've stopped using muzzles (any muzzles). We only used the fabric ones, they still got very clammy and uncomfortable, and despite very careful fitting both horses ended up with sores. we're now strip grazing.
