Looking for grazing either sole use or sharing with like minded person.

We currently have a welsh cob gelding and am looking to get another before the year is out. He is kept out all year round although we do bring him in before shows. We have a mobile stable which has currently been flat packed for 2 years. I would be happy to share this with anyone who needs it.

Our cob has to have his grazing monitored as he can get a bit chubby so I need to be able to put electric fencing up to restrict his grazing.

I am happy to do any maintenance and fencing as required. My daughter is 17 so would be nice if people around the same sort of age to ride out with are available.

Good hacking would be a bonus but as long as no A roads not really important.

I have a trailer which I'm currently looking to upgrade to a small horsebox, so need parking for one or the other, We show locally and are happy for any one to join us on our outings.

The most important thing really is the atmosphere, we have struggled to find somewhere that doesn't have someone on the yard/field that thinks they know best all the time. I'm really easy going but need to be able to keep my animals in a way that suits them and not ruled by peoples opinions (at present I'm not allowed to restrict grazing so struggling a lot with weight issues, cob is getting older and worried about the dreaded lami, which I know is manageable but would prefer to avoid all together)

If anyone has any idea's or has a bit of land available I would be eternally grateful. I can get references if needed. 3 years ago we lost our grazing of 12 years as land owner sold up and I couldn't afford to buy. Since then we have moved a couple of times (I lost my C stallion as a horse went through his fencing and kicked him, breaking his shoulders), so I moved from there as didn't want to loose another. Moved to a small paddock which wasn't suitable as didn't have any grass at all. Now I'm in the perfect location (if a little to much grass) but am restricted to how I keep him, with to much grass and no way of restricting him I'm going to have to move again to avoid health problems.

This move has to be the last as it takes ages for him to settle and I don't like to keep moving him around. As I said I'm really easy going and just want to enjoy my animals.

Sorry for the rambling post

Will keep an ear open as quite local. Have you tried posting on the Dorset equestrian Facebook page.
