I have 2 15 month old cob geldings (brothers) and have been informed by the owner of the pasture where I am currently grazing them, that I must have them off the property within the next week as he has decided to keep cows and has already purchased his first two and is waiting to take possession of them.

Ideally, I would like to find grazing within 5 or 6 miles of Cockley Cley, but since time is of the essence, I am willing to look further afield if necessary. A field shelter would be a bonus as would access to water, but again, because of my time constraints, I will accept any pasture that is contained and safe.

I would also consider letting the brothers go together on loan to someone who would be willing and able to carry on with the next stage of their training. We took them on at 7 months old and they had never been handled -- it was somewhat of a rescue situation. They are now affectionate young horses who stand to be groomed (including hooves) and enjoy taking walks along the country roads and have become quite immune to tractors, barking dogs, cars and lorries. All in all, they are delightful young horses who are ready to continue their training, but neither my husband or myself have any experience with horses. The wife of the farmer where they are currently grazed is experienced with horses and has been assisting us with their early training, but we will be losing her assistance when we have to move them and we hate to see them stagnate simply because their owners are inexperienced.

We would appreciate any advice or assistance that this community can provide!
