Phe has two small greasy patches on his face - one either side of his face half way down his face (half way between eyes and nose).

The patches are greasy and when I wipe them with cotton wool there is greasy black stuff coming off - not scabby. It doesn't seem to be bothering him when I touch it.

When looking at it very closely the hair there seems to be very short to non-existent...and his skin appears a little scaly.

Any ideas? Worried!

Have you been putting fly spray on his face?

I do, but not where the patches are..

Sweat patches - is that as simple as it sounds? Sorry if this is a stupid question...

I mean is it caused by sweat? because I wouldn't say he sweats there....

Frank gets scaley patches on his white bit that can spread out into the chestnut bits they are yellow scaley on the white, black scaley on the chestnut. have to say they are not that greasy though. though it does present a bit like low grade mud fever.

they have just come up again, I think the flies start it off as he def hasn't been sweating but has had his fly mask on less recently due to the rain.

I find a couple of treatments with some sudocrem clears it up, he is a bit prone to random scaley patches. nothing comes up on a skin scrape so now I just cream him up and its done in a few days
