. So mini me's ponio arrived late late last night so queue massive excitement in the house this morning, off up to yard which is also a riding school so so v busy.
Ponio rocks lol, he is such an affectionate chap and mini me took him for a spin this morning and this afternoon. What a good chap he was, I was firm and ensured walk and trot and halt only aswell as couple of cross poles as he will need some time to get used to his new busy surroundings.
Mini be tacked him up all by herself and also ensured he got a good groom. He was given a horse ball for his stable but doesn't know what to make of it yet lol.
So as you can tell I was busy this morning - my mare kept looking at me leading this strange ponio around and oh my got when we introduced them she tried to bite him in the ear! Wtf she has never ever displayed this sort of behaviour before - lol. Thinking a bit of jealousy set in.
So onto this afternoon and yay mare was fab, to say I would crumble at the thought of jumping a cross pole a couple of mths ago is an understatement! Somehow have found my brave pants this wk - today was my third day in a row jumping a variety of fences, gone is her tanking off, I've relaxed so she has to! Rhythm of her canter today was superb and I'm really getting my eye in seeing her stride. We've also nailed walk to canter and she us moving so so well off my leg.
Great day, hope tomorrow is as good she was super relaxed the whole time, think the sunshine brought out the best in us both!
