Well the last time I went out with the Bloodhounds was 5 years ago practically to the day. It ended up with me having a nasty fall and being air lifted to hospital then 4 months of no riding and my horse being retired!!!
So as you can imagine I have been aprehensive about going ever since but felt that at some point I needed to, to give my confidence a boost.
My OH very kindly today gave up his horse and let me take him. The hunt went from our yard and after hearing the stories about how Murphy (OH's horse) was mad and strong by this morning I was more than aprehensive.
I couldn't have been more wrong. He looked after me on the 2 lines that I did (we retired while we still could) and gave me the best afternoons hunting ever.
I am so proud of that little horse - last year we thought we would never ride him again when he was diagnosed with sacro illiac problems but today he prooved us wrong.
I am also proud of myself it was sucha huge hurdle.
Hopefully some piccies to follow soon.
