went down to the field this morning to feed etc and all was fine (apart from my filly was not in her field) she was in the bottom field with the boys 1 of which is a colt with all his bits :mad:

so i rushed her back into her paddock (they always do it when you are running late!) fed her etc and gave her a quick cuddle and ran to work.

tonight went to feed and general check/change rugs and gasped!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::mad::mad::mad::mad::eek::eek::eek::eek:

EVERY SINGLE BIT OF FENCING BETWEEN HER PADDOCK AND THE BOYS PADDOCK HAD VANISHED IN TO A MASSIVE BALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD!!!:mad:

she was in the boys paddock and all the other young fillies wereeverywhere causing absolute mayhem!!! YO was NOT impressed :o:o
and i got a very firm telling off to control my filly (note the other filly i have was still stood in her paddock even though there was no fencing to separate her from the rest)

took 3 hours to do a quick re fence to last till morning (hopefully) but i am so mad! to top it all she is now very lame so vet call out in morning too :mad::mad:

Colts are seriously seperated from fillies by single strand electric fencing??? Disaster waiting to happen....?

Hope your filly is ok x

no there is wooden fencing between them and electric between mine and the other youngsters (that are not mine) and she had ripped up posts and everything god knows how she has done it but i am sure it wasnt just her
and the electric fencing that is up has 4 tapes as there is minis too so need to keep them where they are ment to be xx

Hrm, me thinks whatever happened, maybe the colts or fillies should be moved further away from each other. If they're ripping up post and rail they're very lucky they didn't get hurt more seriously. Don't see how it can be all your fillies fault, YO doesn't sound very good about it to be honest.

Hope her leg is much better by tomorrow and that your YO does something to prevent the situation happening again.
