just had a text from my instructor. Willow has been clipped and she was an absolute star.Says she looks fantastic so will go armed with camera when shes had her bath.

Thank god she hasnt taken after her mum on the clipping idea. Couldnt bare having 2 demon horses to clip!

well shes got a bit of a funny coat at the minute as its starting to shed but as weve got our first show in about 3 weeks we thought shed look a lot smarter clipped out.
Also she has got a very furry throat which makes her look like shes got strangles or her head looks a funny shape so thought it was best to get it all looking normal again!

I think I ran my friends cordless clippers over Willow when she was about 3 months old and she never batted an eyelid. Ebi on the other hand was debating about turning into the devil if they came one inch closer

I cant wait to see her either - she looked like this the other day when I went to see her

My other 3 horses are absolutely fine to clip - only Ebi who is the devil, and a nasty devil at that. Thank god Willow has chosen the nice side

not too bad ta. Stopped taking the painkillers as the side effects are worse than the pain!
It doesnt look too nice though still (bit red round the lower wire) but good news is that im booked into the orthapaedic surgery on Tuesday this week so ill find out what my finger looks like inside. hoping the surgery has done what they expected and I find out what I can/cant do and when they are removing the wires so I can ride again.

thanks - im really pleased with how shes turned out - first ever foal ive bred and very happy with her.

Lisa has been texting me saying she doesnt know who comes off hairer when shes groomed her - Willow or Lisa.

Wow you can breed a foal for me then. Lol she does look really hairy, I would much rather have them clipped no messing around with hair. And no moulting when summer coat comes through oh how I love clipped horses plus it looks smart cant you tell im lazy

She is a sweety though bless her. xxx

i really want another out my mare - shes been a great horse for riding/competing etc and has proved to be a brill mum (maybe a bit too good). Id love to put her in foal again but I think that would mean me either selling Chantin, Willow, Ebi or the new foal - none of which I really would want to do.

Hmm maybe not at the minute but Im sure you could have another soon

, What are your plans with the little one? How big she going to get? xx

well thats what I keep thinking and my mum is coming round to the idea as Willow is just so good. If we managed to buy some land this year then mum has been talking tonight of putting her back in foal in 2009 so the foal will appear when Willow is ready to be backed.

Going to get her out and about to some shows this year. Already got her booked in for Leicester County, Newark & Notts County, Lincolnshire County and the Cgreat Yorkshire Show (Not bother with the local shows round us as they are very poor organised).

Long Term plans are to event her. Hoping shell reach 16.2/16.3hh

What about cheshire show? I should be at that one I can bob up to see you

I might be going to the great yorkshire show aswell. Oh she going to be a big girly then.

Oh I so think you should get some land and put her in foal again. What did you put her mum to? What breed is her mum? I dont think Ive seen post about your mare and if I have Im sorry my memory is terrible.

never thought about Cheshire Show - will have to see when it is and when the entries close. Would be great to meet up with HHo'ers. Yes she should be a big girlie by Great Yorkshire as its the middle of July - so another 3 months of growing!!
Ive been trying to find some land but no one is interested in selling at the moment. Not bothered where it is as wed sell our house and move closer to the field.

If we were to put her back in foal id use the same stallion - Primitive Star

Ebi her mum is IDxTb out of Darcy Dancer.

You mustve seen my posts about Ebi - quick brief life story -she was Diagnosed with ringbone Oct 2004? which dramtically got worse. Then she slightly did damage to her tendons. Retired her as she was having to have time off for her tendon. Put her in foal then Willow came along!

wont be able to go to Cheshire show as its on the 19th/20th June and Lincoln is on the 20th and were going over there on the 19th. Shame wouldve bene nice to go - maybe go there next year instead of Lincoln

Wow I like him hes stunning, Yeah I remember about your mare.
Thats a shame about cheshire show. I might have to pop to the great yorkshire show see a few people. Hmm cant really help you on the land front although I did come across a lot of websites with land for sale but cant think of what they was. My memory is terrible i do apologise.

Im sure something will come up soon for you though Good luck with the showing and keep us all posted on the little one and the showing. xx
