Are they any good?

I am worrying about moving my old TB onto his summer grazing as there is so much grass, he had laminitis last year, so I am being very careful, but he has to move as the winter grazing is completely bare (he is also very hard to keep weight on so a starvation paddock doesn't work as need to feed him up, and yet stop him getting laminitis again)

So thought I could turn him out in one of these until the others have eaten the grass down a bit, good idea?

Help please guys!

In one word yes. You must buy the headcoller that goes it with as it keeps it still and the nose band won't rub your horses nose. I've used it for the last three years on my Anglo Arab.

I put one on my cob yesterday and so far so good. It has stayed in place and he doesn't seem to mind it as it doesn't cover the nose like the others do. It was an hour or two before he realised that he could actually eat a little grass though and I had to force myself not to take it off again when I saw him just standing, looking sorry for himself! Mine is attatched to a normal headcollar.

my old pony mastered the art of getting hers off the minute she went out, using everything from her hind hoof to scraping it along the ground so IMO they don`t work, but i know many people on here have had a lot of success with them.

I think grazing muzzles are brill but found my devious little bugger could get his nose thru the sides of the Greenguard no matter how i tightened it. I got him a 'Best Friend' one and he was fine in that

I know it is related to the greenguard ones but I am using a shires one and it is fantastic! Recently put pics up in the PG of my boy and the difference within a month.

Tried a Greenguard on one of mine last weekend. Kept getting it jammed into his gum at the front, then when tightened it up kept getting his lips between the front and the side. Gave up and bought another Shires grazing muzzle instead...

Okay i'm looking for this 'Shires' muzzle which everyone seems to like but can't find it anywhere. Found Greenguard (which doesn't seem to get great feedback) and Best Friend (which seems good but v expensive) - where do i get the Shires one and what exactly is it called?
Thanks!
