I was about to post about Flick, who is convinced that there is another white greyhound with black splotches which sits out in the garden and looks in at us every evening (reflection in the patio doors

)

Then Islay followed her outside and there was much snuffling and snorting, and I had to rescue a hedgehog from them

It seems to be OK (curled into a complete ball) although nasty vicious Islay has a sore chin obviously from the prickles

Just wondered if they will definitely have got fleas, or just maybe? They were frontlined not so long ago, will that cover them?

aw i love hedgehogs

Frontline does repel and kill fleas effectively for quite a long period so they may have had one or two hop on but they will prob die still. Just keep an eagle eye out for a day or two but I think they should be fine

If they are within the re-dosing interval of frontline and the correct weight product was used for the weight of the dogs then they should be covered!!

Phew that is OK then - covered

I felt so guilty for the poor little hotchi-wichi, but it wouldnt unroll itself to let me check it was OK so I thought much better to leave it alone

I have no idea about the likeliness but coming to think of it, one of my late Buhunds did have a good sniff around on a hedgehog once, without getting any uninvited guests

, though she didn't do it in a way that caused her any sore chin and I don't know if that makes a difference or not?

Fingers crossed they'll be safe.

Poor Flick would really not deserve flea bath on top of having an evening stalker!

By the way I'm glad I saw you posting, though it has been a little annoying lately because besides the Kennel club thread, you have mainly posted about subjects that I don't know what to reply to

.
Anyhow I only wanted to say that if I don't post anything from Saturday evening (tomorrow) and for a week or so, then my new mobile broadband doesn't cover the area where my summer home is. Due to different things we haven't moved out yet but tomorrow it is definitely happening and hopefully the mobile thing (I'm not sure it is a dongle, it doesn't look like any other dongle I've seen others using) will work. But if not, I'll squeeze in some internet time when I'm home watering my pot plants, doing some washing etc. a week or a little more from now.

Ps. I've looked at dongles on the internet and maybe it is a dongle, I probably haven't looked carefully enough before.

I also realised I will probably be to busy tomorrow to have time to put on the computer but if nobody sees as much as one tiny reply somewhere on HHO on Sunday, it isn't working. There is some hills around my summer home that used to make the TV-signals bounce away, so I'm not taking it for granted that it will work.

I was expecting more than fleas when you posted - our naughty dogs kill hedgehogs
frown.gif
so we have to be really careful when we let the dogs out at night
