Having FINALLY moved to a yard with a school...and floodlights....and jumps!!!!!! I am now planning on working my lad over jumps probably once a week, but obviously don't want him to get bored, so was wondering about doing some gridwork with him. We've done it loads of time before in lessons, but, and I am a little ashamed to admit this

I've never actually built a grid!! Only jumped through lots of different ones built by other people.
So looking for some ideas and exercises, and how to build the (eg striding, heights of fences etc). Obviously when short of time in the evenings, anything with fewer wings/poles involved is handy but not essential!
Background for those who haven't seen my previous posts, J is a 15hh arab gelding, we are previously schooling at 1m - ish, competing 90cm ish. He is quite long striding for his size and makes BSJA distances fairly well. Our issues are the odd stop here and there, and also that he tends to either be doinga very 'plinky' canter (rather too 'pretty' for the decent sized fenced) or if I push him on he tends to rush off.... So grids that would improve his canter would help us lots!! Also if we do tip poles it tens to ebe behind, so anything that will help him get his back end up and away would also be handy!!
Many thanks in advance for any advice!!
