The saddler still hasn't called me back (is now a month later, although a week of that he was on holiday).

Little ned lives out, and is now very filthy and grimy and needs a good scrub and tidy. As my sharer rides him as often as she likes through the week (generally 2/3 days) and I have him at weekends, I thought it would be fair if she came up with me on the weekend to help with tail pulling, leg trimming, tail washing etc. I sent her a text, and got no reply. Later on found out I couldn't go up on the Sunday anyway, so sent another text saying I wasn't going up Sunday, and would she like to swap Sunday for Monday with me?

No reply.

Now, I know she is ok and hasn't disappeared or anything, as she has been on facebook plenty of times since I text her.

I am having a lesson on Tuesday which she said she was going to come up to watch, so should I question her then? To be honest she is getting a very good deal - she doesn't have to muck out, she doesn't pay for ANYTHING, I've put no limits on what she can do with him (common sense applied, of course) hacking, schooling, cantering round the fields etc.

I feel very annoyed.

If I were you, I wouldn't let it escalate beyond this. What's wrong with a bit of courtesy now and then (her (lack of) not you!)

Hope you manage to get in touch with her- maybe ring, or facebook if she's ignoring texts? Maybe she hasn't got credit to respond either?
What a shame she's becoming slightly rude towards you.

Thanks. The thing is I don't pester or anything, I asked when she first started at the end of every week for her to send me a quick text to let me know how he is.

On Tuesday (if she turns up) I will just say that I expect "regular" contact - i.e. a text at the end of the week. Is that ok? He is only a baby so I am very concerned for his welfare - all I send is a quick "Hi, how was (horse) this week?".

Paranoid :S
