Am looking to get a new girth for my boy since I dont think its hugely safe to go XC in his nice wide Stubben string girth.

But it needs to be grippy, because he's shaped like a barrel my saddle can slip a little bit although I do find his string one seems to keep it in place as its so nice and wide. So am looking for a wide girth again. Ideally not leather as he sweats pretty heavily under them. So something grippy and wide basically! Ideas?

And also would like a stud guard, any opinions on which ones are good and which bad?

Nothing too pricey either! Am I asking for the impossible here?

I'm currently using a hexa stud guard (synthetic with neoprene inner), with a professional choice girth. It's a fairly grippy combination

If they fitted I would have had a comfort zone, but because I have a wow saddle I need a 30" short stud guard and they cannot supply without making a new mould, but will consider it in the future.

I have one spare hexa guard if you are interested
