I have just heard that Erewash council in Nottinghamshire are adding antifreeze to their grit. A friends neighbour have just lost their husky to antifreeze poisoning, they contacted the council who admitted to adding antifreeze. I have spoken to Gedling council and notts county council and they have reassured me they do not add antifreeze. However a neighbourhood warden for Broxtowe thinks they do. So please be vigilant and wash animals feet after contact with grit and stop them eating it.
