I’ve had the new boy for 8mths now. I knew him (v.well) in his previous home and he’s always been an affectionate horse: a real snogger.

He loves nuzzling my hair, especially at the nape of my neck. I have short hair. At first I thought it was the novelty as his previous owner was bald, but the novelty hasn’t worn off. I guess this is just his thing.

Previous horse used to be obsessed with grooming the small of my back and would often follow me around the field while I poo-picked, grooming away. Is it me who’s weird, or my horses?

I get this! I feel so mean pushing a super friendly lover away.... but jeez the itchiness and like nettle rash is horrible!

Exactly! Its instant! She's so cwtchy and I love it about her but I have to make sure she can't reach any skin ?

Thankfully, he’s got a soft, velvety muzzle year-round. I’d look like I’d been sandblasted otherwise!

My horses fuss me when im fussing with their feet. The gelding bends around and tickles the small of my back, one time giving me a wedgie and pinging my pants!
The mare bends around and sniffs my hair, ruffling and pinching it with her lips, wondering if its just a ‘finer’ straw thats edible!
Gelding thinks he’s a dog and licks my arm until he’s in a dozy trance...salt blocks and tubs and mineral balancer not enough, i’m the best salt block evidently!
