What make of brushes do you use? What ones do you think is the best and is there a brand you would buy if you had the money? Thanks

I have loads of brushes of unknown brands just bought randomly from local tack shops when I needed them. Latest purchase about 6 months ago was a Bentley slip-not grooming kit in a box from Tesco direct for just over a tenner when it was on sale. Nice soft brushes which seem to last (tho I do only have a thin skinned tb not a hairy native) so no complaints from me :)
Don't think I could ever justify spending a fortune on the likes of oster etc (even if I did have the money!) when you can pick up perfectly good brushes for a few pound or less!

Oster brushes are amazing! My mare was assumed to be headshy until I tried their body brush on her face, now she loves having her face brushed, you can see the ecst acy now she realises what she has been missing out on.

Unfortunately that led to a bit of an oster habit, with one being added to the feed shop each time until I had a complete new grooming kit...i'd hate to add up what I spent on them, but they are lovely!

Oooo you need to try one and you will see why they are expensive, if you use one you won't go back to anything else. :D

I've got an oster set for one and a John Whittaker set for the other. I must admit, I find myself just taking the oster ones from one stable to te other - they are much better. I'm lusting after a Borstiq set though - keep trying to justify the expensive of yet another set of brushes.

I have loads of random ones. I hate Bentley ones!!! Awful quality and don't remove a thing from my horses coat!! I have a goat hair and horse hair brush which r lovely. Also random UN named ones which r fab. I sometimes think olot of it down to hAnd size coz some I just find to bulky in my hand (shires)

I have one expensive body brush which my horse and I both love, a stubben hair one. The rest of my kit is cheap and cheerful, part of a set reduced on a trade stand.

I have a load of random brushes that I've collected over time but tend to use the same few all the time! Got a magic brush free at a show and it is amazing at getting mud off my grubby mare who is more hippo than pink papered warm blood! Quite like my stablekit brushes at the moment especially the rubber one which is great at getting her coat out in the spring while giving her a nice massage and not being too harsh.
Would love Oster brushes but out of my budget at the moment!
