As title really! My share horse is in need of a bath but it's too cold! Any tips as to how I can keep her clean as she's a greasy monkey at the mo!

Hi Mrs C. For my Sweet Itch pony when it's too cold, I give a sponge bath around the mane and tail only. I use Dermoline shampoo, diluted so I don't have to rinse, but I suppose you could use a dandruff one. If you really need to do the coat as well, I would simply use a damp sponge with dermoline/similar.

My mare came back home very greasy but almost got rid of it after 3 weeks with regular grooming. I am not so soft on the washing though ( I have a gray) but do use warm water, and do rug up with thermatex after then change rugs once dry. Despite the rain today, after our lesson my boy needed to be completely washed down and that is exactly how I managed it.

After a good groom i regulary wipe down with very diluted surgical spirit and warm water ring the sponge out well and wipe down, works absolute wonders and gives them a good shine on there coats too. Done this for years and never had anything react to it.
