Morning :)

Im wrapped up all warm indoors after sorting the horses this morning so thought Id tell you about my homebreds first go at cross country.

I have been holding off jumping her whilst I have been on a crazy diet to be small enough to ride her and Ive lost over 5 stone so nearly there  Because I was so fat she has only jumped 3 times before but at a yard near us they have some teeny XC jumps so thought I would go before they close in a few days.

It was FREEEEEEEEEEEEZING, made worse by the fact I was on before 8am because had work later :( My hands were so cold I could barely hold the reins! After a huge monster spook as she saw a XC jump we warmed up (well she did!)

Still much spooking at all the jumps  but then trotted up to one and she popped over...

Then she got the hang of it a bit better and she happily popped over whatever we trotted towards!!

She was amazing and so much fun despite it being so cold! It felt very special having waited so long for her to grow up from the teeny tiny thing she was when she was born..

The months of dieting (lots of which I didn't ride her obviously) have all been worth it to have such fun on the little midget!! :D

Well done on both counts! She looks likes she's really enjoying it by the end and you look amazing!!! 5 stone is an incredible amount to lose - am sure you are an inspiration for many on here who are struggling with weight (me included :p)

She is beautiful and looks to be having a ball! Well done on the 5 stone off - mind you, she looks to have been worth the effort :D

Well done to you both! Lovely photos, she is gorgeous and certainly has a very good jump!
I must ask though, where did you get your exercise rug?!

Those pix are so lovely - she jumped lots of scary things, too. I used to own an appaloosa, they have the most amazing attitude to life. Congrats, too, on your terrific diet success. Fantastic achievement.

Wow, what a weight loss - you're an inspiration. I've got a good chunk to lose too.

She looked super over the fences, and what a cute foal!! I think you will have a lot of fun with her.

I'm not sure about being a inspiration!! As I'm writing this I'm eating a fruit gum!! I have got enough calories spare to eat it though!!

Awwww bless her she looks like she enjoyed it by the end!

Amazing job losing 5 stone!!!! What's your secret???!!!

Thanks :) I have just counted calories. I have stopped eating carbs and most meat. Tbh I mostly eat low fat alpen, nature valley bars, tinned soup from m&s, green vegetables/carrots and I save up enough calories to have a few sweeties each day! I really don't eat anything more exciting than that. It's boring but its working!

She looks fab! And loving the pink exercise sheet :)
I am yet to take my spot bott xc jumping just cos he is so clumsy!

Aww bless him, I thought I'd seen pics of him jumping and he didn't look clumsy!

Well done she looks to have a good technique :)

Fingers crossed that will make up for the fact she's teeny tiny!!

Well done to you both! Lovely photos, she is gorgeous and certainly has a very good jump!

It's a thermatex quarter sheet :)

Wow- amazing job on the weight loss!!

Dottie looks fab- what a cute pop :)

Thanks :)

There were quite a few spooky ones, once she had got over her mass spooking at them she was a pro! She's not a appy, she's a knabstrupper. I'm sure she will spend her whole life with people thinking she is a appy though!!

lovely photos.. is that @ Wheatlands?

Yes it is. Where abouts are you?

Again I don't think I could possibly be a inspiration!! I put on a good 2.5 stone at the beginning of this year while my grown up horse was injured and I just sat around on my fat bum getting fatter!!

Awwwwww, I love a good spotted horse. ;)

I did hear on the grape vine that you loooooooooooooooove a spotty horse :D

Beautiful horse and well done on the weight loss! I start my diet campaign tomorrow. Want to lose one and a half stone so joined the gym at work (University so fab facilities and across the road) Lots of classes, early mornings and mucking out. Chocolate is my down fall... I hope I can be as successful as you x

Fantastic Photos - absolutely love your knabbie - she looks so much like mine only mine is bay leopard - Well done for loosing the weight to ride her - she is gorgeous - how is she breed?

It is lovely going from seeing a blob on a scan to having a wobbly baby horse to wobble around on!!

It is a pink thermatex quarter rug :)

I do have some sort of pink obsession as have the proper rug too...

Good luck, I'd say if chocolate is your downfall then save enough calories to have a little bit. I normally allow myself 100-200 calories worth of treats per day. Some might not agree with that but it's what made it easy to stick to for me.

She's out of my tb mare by a knabstrupper. Do you have any pics of yours that you could put on?

LMAO at the PINK!!! At least it is proper PINK and not wishy washy!

She's gorgeous and very sweet looking. Love the foalie pic :D

Massive congrats on your weight loss!! It's not easy, as I know all too well! I'm 8stone down and 6 to go....!!
