I have a spare field in which to turn out my horse, but as well as having a lot of grass, it also has some large patches of ground ivy. Does anyone know if it is poisonous to horses?

If you google quite a few references saying they need to consume quite a lot and are not likely to do so if plenty of grass available--it looks like another which is more dangerous if it gets into hay

Thanks. I have googled and found out the same thing. What I was really after was if anyone has any experience of any adverse reaction to this weed. Earlier this year, she eat a load of hogweed and developed severe photosensitivity, lots of blistering on her predominently pink skin, so I'm terrified of her eating anything else remotely dubious.
