Do they exist? Sorry if that sounds stupid. Basically iv got a rising 4year old when she was 9months old we started having problems with leading and it's never ended. I'm extremely fed up of it to the point I feel like retiring her to a big field and buying a new horse. I'm looking for a really good instructor to come and help me out I lack confidence majorly when it comes to ONLY her when it comes to leading. Everything else I'm fine. I gained this fear when I fell pregnant around the time our problem started. I don't want to quick fix just to solve it for a few weeks I want the problem to be resolved completely so I can happily walk her in a head collar with confidence. I'm based in Derbyshire. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be lovely. I don't want to clicker train her or involve treats as this isn't something I agree with and causes her to get bolshy all the time. She's always been happy with a scratch and a pay as a reward.

Sorry, no help on recommending an instructor. Google warwick Schiller, he has a video subscription with LOADS of videos on groundwork. They are very interesting, no treats in sight! He has some taster videos on his YouTube you can try before paying for the full length version. He also does virtual lessons.

Sue Edwards although based in Devon. Not sure how far she travels, she comes up to Buckinghamshire, or she might know someone in your area?

I'm not sure how far you're able to travel, but I took my horse to Sara Ussher near Leeds, and she has made a huge difference to him. She's very focused on groundwork, and doesn't use clicker training or treats. Mine used to barge, fidget, shove, and pay attention to pretty much everything apart from me, and now he's so easy to deal with. He's a different horse, and much happier.

Sara Hardy. Fantastic trainer who was a working pupil of Warwick Schiller in the USA. She has a page on Facebook you can contact her through, highly recommend her.
