Hi everyone, have just been able to acquire an American Barn (36ft by 34ft) housing 6 stables and I am trying to work out what the foundation costs are gunna be? Anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

Ours is smaller, 4 stables (2 each side) wide corridor and end tackroom but with front apron too. Overall site about 32 ft wide by 42 foot front to back incl the front apron. On a sloping site tho so £££ went up a lot for that. Groundworks about 5-6k I reckon, to a high spec. One thing, if you have drain channel (ours is central back to front) make sure you buy the industrial pre formed channels not the spring clip ones, the latter can pop up and slice your horse and the proper ones tho very pricey are the dogs danglys! makes a real difference to the look. Also make sure concrete has anti frost additive. hope this helps.

Mine is 36 by 36 with a central drain and front apron- done in special horse pee resistant concrete and cost £4700. Can very highly recommend J&J contracting in Wiltshire (part of JWS)
