i have a wb x irish cob who was 5 in september he stands at nearly 15.2 at the moment considering his breeding does anyone think he will grow any more his dam /wb was 16.2 and his sire is 15.3 i know he will probably fill out more when in proper work as he muscles up just hoping he is going to grow a bit more

I'm pretty sure the growth plates of a horse don't all fully close until the horse is 8? But not many tend to grow much after 5, you might at a push get an inch? is he bum high at all? It's more likely that he'll just fill out fully from now on, but horses are here to amaze us all the time, and I'm sure someone on here will have had one grow after 5!

WB's tend to be slow growers/late maturers (try telling that to my weed of a 21 month old!!) but theoretically they can keep growing over a longer period of time than say a tb.

thats what i have been told about wb's, yes i would say he his bum high and he seems quite weak up front at the moment no neck and not much in front of my leg

I was a little surprised when my 4.5 year old Appaloosa outgrew his bridle when he had a break with all the snow and ice...and he seems to be putting on a new spurt now, upwards.

You never know..
