Growth between 2 1/2 and 6ish years

Following on from the earlier thread about riding under 4s and whether to let them finish growing first. I started thinking about how much horses actually can/do grow in the 'backing' time frame. So how much did peoples youngsters grow after 2 1/2 yrs? ....or whatever age they were backed

my 3 1/2yr old has grown jst under an inch in the last year, hes done more filling out and bulking up tho but still immature with alot more filling out to do! (hopefully anyway!)

had hoped he would make 15hh he was bought as a 14.1hh at 2yrs but its not looking like hes going to get any bigger now?
i wouldnt swap him for the world tho!

My horse was 15.3 at 2.5- he's 17hh at rising 5 but def still going- I expect will probably make 17.2.
