What did the two of you agree prior to the horse comming to you on loan - you have a verbal contract. Sorry, the photo didn't come up when I clicked on the link so couldn't see the horse.

Call her bluff and tell her come and collect it.

I thought you were reducing numbers though???

TBH I was going to say £3500 (provided passes vetting and no vices etc...). She will probably be able to get £4000 for her, I know a friend of mine paid that for a similar cob that was 5yrs and had done nothing. I personnally wouldn't have paid that much.........but others will.

Didn't work for me either, but from memory she is a bay, HW cob with white blaze and socks (I think) and very clyesdale shaped head (I only remember as she looks like my friends mare)

PiebaldEaster thats the one, she hasnt done anything.

Im looking to keep 2 horses that i can drive as i can no longer ride comfortably cause of the sciatica. Doctor says to give the horse riding up as if i fall off i can do more damage and i can no longer manage the rising trot.

Originally she wanted Romi the wee cob foal, shes the one from Mae and has good breeding. When she phoned she said she was talking to a friend who said the mare is worth £4000. She then mentioned she wants to sell as she wants a project horse.

I offered her a great deal, i was going to give her Romi and Gypsy as i wont be able to ride Gypsy now to bring her further. However didnt tell her that. She however wanted another £1000 ontop of that, so i told her no and said that the best thing to do was to come collect the mare.

The mare is lovely and very gentle, she hasnt been rode in ages, the woman used her mostly for driving. I did get a wee ride on her and she went very well, needs a bit of schooling.

Link seems to be working now

Meant to say she doesnt have any vices, she aint a jumper. But as i said i will be looking to drive instead of riding.

Mae is broke for driving which i did do some of with her and she is teaching a few friends to ride. Hubby is keeping his tb gelding Mo and his 2 yo gelding.

Its hard as ive really fallen for this mare, shes very good natured and weve got a bond now.
