Grrr cant change my avitar

I have tried to change it from word and from my photobucket account and it keeps saying inproper picture

Its not too big so why is it not taking it

Could it be the wrong type of file?? I think it needs to be .jpg or .gif
Are you sure it's 80x80 pixels and 10kb or under?

The avatar won't take pics from Photobucket (but the sigs will!

). I upload my avatar from 'My Pictures' in my computer. Try putting it in there and upload it from there.

What format is it in? I've had problems with the picture being in the wrong format and had to change it.

Put the picture in paint and save it as a .jpg, .gif or .png file.

Sometimes I think mine hasn't until I press F5 - then I realise it has!! If it hasn't 'taken' you will get a message telling you what is wrong.

I put it in paint and then saved it to 'My Pictures' and uploaded it from there but it still said inproper picture

I did it with one i copied from the net and also one i uploaded from my camera and it says it for both

I did my last avitar in the same was and that worked
