GRRR Livid, about to blow a fuse!

Just received a text from a fellow livery to tell me that my helper (who lunges turns out and brings in 3 times a week for me) has ridden my horse out on the road in a saddle and bridle (no idea what saddle and bridle as my tack is currently sat in the boot of my car!)
This is the final straw, had enough, when i specifically told him on sunday when he was trying to get me to use his bridle that he is never to be ridden in a single jointed snaffle, he just doesnt get on with it and never has done. he just hates the nut cracker action he is much happier in a straight bit. My guess is he has ridden him in that and god knows what saddle
I am sick to death of it now. You lot on here will (and have done in previous post regarding hoof trimming!) that i am a T*** and need to tell him to **** off
I have tried to be firm, diplomatic yet kind as it is a slightly awkward situation with him being a friend of my bf's family.

wel tough **** now. My horse is being moved back to my old yard on sunday. mainly for turnout reasons but to be honest this is a big reason as well and cant beleive i am being forced to move yards.
grrrr (waiting for the comments to tell me to man up... ) Lesson learnt i can tell you!!!!
 
I'd be furious too if someone was riding my horse when they were not supposed to and being very sneaky about it. His relationship to your bf can't be helped, if you can't trust him you can't trust him.

Try to calm down a little before you speak to him or at least appear calm but I would not let him handle your horse again as he clearly is being very sneaky.

I am curious as to what swear word T*** is tho. :D
 
I am totally shocked to hear that your 'helper' did that! I am assuming that he isn't allowed to ride your horse at all? Either he's got confused somewhere and thinks riding your horse is ok or needs one hell of a talking to! Especially when he went against your wishes with the bit and didn't use your tack.

There may be some benefit of the doubt needed here, I'd make sure he knows the rules before launching into an arguement, but I would be mucho narked if someone who wasn't allowed to ride my horse did so.

no to be honest i am pretty devestated as i am the only one that has ever sat on him and wanted to keep it that way
 
As everyone said on the feet thread, he's a moron, ditch him. Perhaps when you move, if you still require help make better arrangements instead of relying on a fool. Few people willingly do jobs for nothing, its either for help in return, payment, or riding. And whilst there is no argument he's overstepped the mark by a longshot, making more suitable arrangements for duties could have prevented it, & should do in future.

lesson learnt definately. wont be having his help at new yard. to be honest, i dont actually need the help, he only does it "for his own enjoyment" I would not have had any problem telling him no if he asked to ride him but to do so without asking! :O

Its a sharp shock for me meeting people like this having been on the same yard previously for 10+ years

Me too - though it's quite difficult to **** off without someone being a T*** - or so I hear!

I have found it very effective in the past to be rather sneaky myself and then smack the offending party very hard on the nose - considering that I used to be over 6ft 1" and fighting fit - very few people got back up to argue - message sent.

Not that I ever let anyone ride my mare without me being there.
 
Is this the same guy that was feeding your horse two buckets of carrots a day without you knowing?

You need to get rid of him asap especially after he trimmed your horses feet!! Eek!! Good luck x
 
Whilst I do think its in a horses interests to be ridden by others occasionally, its beyond me why op not wanting that means she/he is a spoiled brat?
 
The really unbelievable thing is that I bet if you say anything to him he will act like it's your problem - I've met delusional people like this ;)
