grrrrr, any ideas?

Sort of but not totally horsey. Does anyone know where I stand and what I can do?
someone has comissioned a saddlepad from me, custom in pink and grey with diamonte stars on so I have put quite a bit of work in and now she is saying she sent the money recorded delivery nearly a week ago and I still havent recieved it. She's saying that she has sent it but tbh she doesnt seem that bothered when she replies.
so all in all I have made a pad, spent time, money and materials and now I probably wont get my money..... Do I just call it a lesson learned or is there something I can do?

Money before work or 50% deposit first

She sent money recorded delivery so she won't be covered under the Recorded delivery thing.
She should still contact royal mail to track the letter she sent to you and find out where it has gone.

Thanks for the reply, she said she has got in touch with them and it hasnt been signed for (on my side) so it has been lost apparently but tbh she doesnt sound that bothered that she has lost £15 in the post. And when I quized her about her tracking number she said 'oh I dont know' which suggests she hasnt actually sent it?
