could my day get any worse??
after the work problems with thicko staff, then the chav incident on the tram, I get home to my updated driving license back from the DVLA after being sent off after passing my traielr test.

Bad thing is - I can only tow with an automatic!! Not what I was told by the DVLA/DSA. Thing is I was told by both of them that as I passed my normal car license with a manual car it didnt matter what car I took my trailer test in as I would be able to drive on a manual transmission if I passed my trailer test.
Rang up just to query a code they have put on my card and they told me I am back to a provisional license for manual towing.

After much ranting ive got to put my complaint into the customer service manager and tell them the problem and ask who is going to take the blame and accept that they are a waste of space. They think however im going to have to sit another test (dont think so - not going through that again), but they might give me some money back - ill bloody want compensation for the stress of it all when ive finished --cant believ it. Best thing is I checked it all out with both companies before I sat my test not on one occation but twice!

yes I had to apologise to the poor lad on the other end of the phone but he said he understood how upset I was. I told him that the DVLA needed to pull their finger out and train all the staff in the same way and get them to understand what implications were if they gave the wrong info out - best thing was that he agreed that everyone gave differing information!!! And we look to these guys for help and advice on road issues!!!
I told him there was no way I was going to pay another £90 to retake the test after they told me that I could take the test in an automatic but drive in a manual if I wanted after the test - neither the DSA or DVLA said I would have to go back to provisional license.

Im just strating to draft my letter so I can get it off first thing in the morning. AND they better reply to me not just ignore the letter or fob me off.
