Grrrrr...!!!!

I put my horse out with the little ones last night as i have been keeping him away from them because they were giving him bad maners like not beeing caught..!!! so went up the yard this morning and gess what the little sh1t didnt want to come in..!! so i left him out in the rain with the little ones.!! has anybody pleasssse got any advice for me to try and get him in as i dont want him to be on his own.!!!

Make sure he comes in to a feed every time you bring him in (even if it is a bowl of carrots)

This might not be what you want to hear but don't give up, even if it means standing in the rain and pitch black. If you give up once he'll try again more the next time. Mine can be awkward sometimes but she's starting to learn that no matter how much she tries I will always get her in, so now she gives up much quicker and sometimes comes straight to the gate for me.

We tried all the usualy like getting her in, making a fuss and then turning her back out, but it didn't really make a difference. I still think it will with some horses, just not mine. Persistance was the key with mine

oh i know how this feels, I used to sit in the field trying to catch my mare - she's a devil, she'll lure you into false sense...so I would say Ok fine...I'll sit here and pick the grass watch the other horses.or go upto the other horses to give them strokes...she hated this..she used to get inquesitive and come over so I would ignore her after 5-10mins she would be kool, or a bucket of feed - her stomach always gets the better of her...i've yet to go through all this again when she goes back out properly...god help me...lol
