Grubbs wellies?

I’ve just split another pair of chameau’s and can’t really bear to spend another few hundred right now. They were 2 and have been lived in so not complaining.
Has anyone had Grubs? I’m sort of looking at Rainlines?
How do they last and are the comfortable?

I got through 2 pairs in a year. First pair leaked after 3 months so I took them back to Charlie's who replaced them, the replacements lasted a bit longer but I wasn't wearing as often.

I've got grubs and very pleased with them. Lasted longer than any others I've had.

my Frostlines have just gone through their 5th winter. Waterproof, comfortable and supportive for my dodgy ankle.

Prior to the rainlines I had the icelines, they were rather heavy but comfortable and really warm in winter, I think they lasted a couple of years until they split where the soft part joins the more solid foot part.

I bought grubbs to replace my aigles. After a few days of wearing them I could barely walk. I couldn't work out what I'd done to my back and shooting pain down my legs. Realised it coincided with changing wellies. The grubbs didn't support my foot like the aigles. Will have to see if I can find some insoles!

I bought Frostlines at start of December, by end of February they were split both at the Neoprene/fabric join and on top of one of the boots. Not impressed

Oh ok! Only one or two good reviews, more bad so don’t think I’ll bother!
Any recommendations for some hard wearing comfortable wellies under £100. Not neoprene and I don’t like side buckles!

I’ve had 2 pairs of Aigles in 7 years. They are comfortable and they last. Got my last pair from Amazon for £60. They are black, basic but I live in them every day

Dunlop or Grubbs?

I have had more luck with cheapo Dunlops lasting a decent time than I have with more expensive ones which apparently don't like to actually be worn in mud.

Grubs. I was really unimpressed with them.

I’m on my second pair of Grubbs in 5 years, for £50 a pair I’ve been made up with them tbh! First pair I had I worked with horses so wore them day in day out they lasted a couple of years as well. I have to go half a size down and wear thick/2 pair of socks for some reason but when I do that they are super comfy.

You can't go wrong with Dunlops.

I hated the Frostlines, they had horrible internal zigzag stitching where your heel would be and it tore my skin and shredded many socks. I binned them after a month.

I’ve had the grubs high line for 3-4 years now and are still as good as the day I bought them. They are big sized and I could have probably got away with a 4 rather than 5.

Sis and I both have Grubbs. Not sure the exact models. Hers have lasted over a year, though they are split. Mine about 8 months and look terrible! Split beside the toes on both feet, hole at the back so wet feet this morning.
I bought some Dunlops, though they're too big, but the feet feel too flat for me. Got a pair of Royal Scot Tay boots. We'll see how long these last. Mine never last any time!

I bought a pair of Bogs last year. So far they have outlasted Aigle (total waste of £170), numerous Hunters, Ariat, Muck Boots and other expensive brands that I can't remember.

I bought dunlop puroforts last year when on offer for under £40 then spent £30 on insoles. So far so good ?

I tried rudds wellies on at yhl one year and they were very comfortable so they might be worth looking at.
Gumleaf is another brand to look at too, possibly a bit cheaper but I haven't tried them myself.
I also bought my OH a pair of Goodyear wellies last winter, they got some serious abuse and seem to have stood up well and were only about £50, not sure if they come in smaller/ladies sizes but might be worth looking into.

I bought myself a pair of £15 amazon tall wellies last winter.. best £15 I ever spent! Still going strong, look great and are very comfy.

I have Grubbs, they are comfy but heavy so I ache after a long walk in them. Try Gumleaf, they’re fab!

I have Grubbs frostline. They have lasted well and brilliant. As someone else has said I could have bought a size smaller as come up quite big.
