Just wondered if anyone else neds pull faces when they're being ridden? My mare pull terrible faces when she's jumping and when I first start to lunge and also when I ask for medium trot...however she seems to thoroughly enjoy her work and the rest of the time has a very "happy" face. Wish I could get her to put her ears forward

My boy can wiggle his ears in completely different directions when he has a tantrum. It looks very impressive!
He doesn't pull faces when ridden (that I know of) but does pull terrible faces at people when he's on the yard. It makes people think he's evil and bad tempered when actually he's very friendly. I keep telling him he's missing out on lots of fuss. Still its better than a horse I had on loan who used to look sweet and friendly to lure people close to him, then he'd try and have a chunk out of them - and he meant it!

mine pulls faces, swishes tail a lot and generally gives the impression that she is a grumpy cow. her face pulling is wasted on me as what she doesnt realise is ive had 18 months of face pulling from daughters horses and he gets ignored for his efforts also.

Mine puts her ears back and glares at my instructor when we are having a lesson! She obviously associates her with having to do some actual work for a change. Thankfully, instructor sees the funny side of it.

he doesn't pull faces of any sort, just does donkey impressions, except when you are going jumpeys then he makes the sweetest face, ears forward and his top lip goes like it does when they're having a good scratch all firm and w shaped!
he's so funny... the only time he looks pleased to see a person is if they have a feed bucket with them!
