Well the herd of misfits escaped again into the xc/hay fields
Spoke to YO to say that I wished to move them back to their original field as I was getting annoyed that all I seem to be doing when at the yard is fixing fences and catching them all. Well YO said no probs the electric fence just needs put back up and some gaps need fixing no worries Im a fence expert now (just a shame my herd are expert fence breakers
)
Well fence all fixed time to move the misfits
Plan A catch Satine and the rest will plod behind hummm not a good idea even though I have done this may times before with them. the two big geldings (16h+) decided that they were going to have a fight with me between them S looked at me as if to say sod this mum and a big slap on the hand for me I dropped her lead rope (will say that me a S have a good join up and rope was thrown over her neck) once we were both out of the firing line ie she went one way I went the other I removed her head collar.
Plan B move trouble maker gelding first prefect walked into new field had 3 of the small ones following. They get to the gate looked at us on one side and them on the other with a puzzled look on their little faces as if to say hey how do we get in.......The gate is bloody open walk through it. Sure my herd have one brain cell between them some times
One down 8 to go with an hour to go before I need to catch the bus easy or so I thought
Grab Satine rest of misfits will follow now trouble is out the way NOPE
Satine gets to gate with the little ones plus her 5 month old colt she goes in they watch her walk through the gate and then here comes that puzzled look again so grab Lil V she is the sweetest girl going and in she goes. 3 down 6 to go.
Solli Satines son is standing next to the electric fence wondering why mum is over that side. Fence not on yet. He turns around walks up the field a few strides turns around breaks into a canter and clears the fence with inches to spare wasn't sure weather to scream or cheer
At least one of my herd has a brain
Well moved the rest with out too many more problems and got the bus in time
