Was at Rossdales with a couple of horses from work for diagnostic work and one castration and saw WFP's lorry and one of his grooms in the hospital yard. Was wondering which horse they had had to take there, it's a long way from Dorset and would have thought they'd gone to Liphook. So must be serious.

lord, there are no secrets are there! i should think couple of owners will insist on newmarket though even for routine scns so might be nothing x

According to the autobiography WFP's always liked Andy Bathe for anything lameness related.

I think all the top riders have their favourite vets for different things.

There are no secrets in Newmarket, they were there all day which isn't surprising, dropped my neds off at 8.30 and picked them up at 4. Didn't spot any horses that I know, mind you I did look round WFP old yard when it came up for rent and didn't realise who was there until I saw him riding!
Thanx wishfull for autobiography thingy, most probably the reason why they were there then.

My horse has WFP cotton wool in his stud holes.Parked next to him at Gatcombe and couldn't find ours. Not of any interest to anybody else but we thought it great. We are sad people

Ria - I think the horse in question MIGHT be Bee (Bee Animas) - only maybe though just because he got a phone call when I was with him about Bee being lame (the day after Blair) he sounded quite upset about it (as you would be).

My horse was stabled next to Sarah Cohen's ride, The Wexford Lady, at Rossdales a few years ago! She was in for scans. I had a peek at her, she looked rather dejected standing at the back of the box, and quite tiny.

Another time I was there (I was there a lot at the time, sadly) Carl Hester's ride, Donner-something or other, was coming in every few weeks for steroid injections into its hocks.

All the gossip here on the forum!
