Guide to Hunts?

Is there a book, almanac or similar that lists all the different hunts, describes their country, gives a bit of history - and then grades them on their suitability eg for beginners; for those who like jumping big hedges etc etc?

As someone new to hunting, I'm sure there must be some hunts whose country makes them more suitable as a gentle break in to the sport than others, but I'm darned if I can figure out which these might be!

If you look on the mfha website they give details of all hunts.

Most hunts have quieter days within their card so you are prob best speaking with your local secretaries and finding out when would be good for the type of day you are looking for.
