So we went to go see a new horse, and I instantly fell in love with her. We planned to go and see her again before we bought her, but the day before the owner let my mum know that she has potentially been sold to someone else. This made me cry my eyes out all night because I was so excited. My mum called the owner up today and offering more money than the others. Now I love my mum for doing this and it could lead to getting the horse but I feel so guilty that my mum has to pay more and Its just making me feel down and making me feel and sound like a spoilt brat.
Any opinions on what to do I really love this horse but I don't want to feel guilty

That's what I was thinking of doing for example I have been looking on other forums and I was thinking of getting her portraits of her horses as a gift, it would be expensive but with what she was doing for me it would be a small gift.

Speaking as a mum, I would rather my kids did something like clean the kitchen and make me a cup of tea without being asked, than buy me an expensive present!

How old are you OP?

If you get pocket money or have a job, could you offer to pay her back some of the money? She probably won't take it, but the offer is nice, If not, I would suggest you help out with the housework, cooking, making your mum cups of tea for example.

Thank you so much for all of the advice everyone has given me, as I said the other offer was accepted and she has been sold. But on the upside she has got three new ponies she has revived this week and we are going to see all three this week and hopefully at least one should work out.

Sorry about you not getting the pony you wanted but I am a great believer that sometimes some things are just not meant to be, I am sure you will find the pony meant for you and then all this will be a distant memory.
