we use shredding for our piggies
its actaully alot better than hay as it soaks up the wee much better.
dad gets long stuff from work but we also have a cross cut shredder at home and put paper through that too.
newpaper throught he cross cutter makes a lovely soft bed for them
and no, they don't get paper cuts

Have made a nice spongy bed for her and given her a huge apple to keep her occupied
