I have been doing some research, some say yes so long as they have lots of space and some say no they will fight
I suppose i could start with the 2 and if they do fight separate them with a different hutch
I don't like the idea of one on his lonesome as i know they live in little herds in the wild
They'd need at least a 2x5 c&c cage, or 28"x72" but bigger if possible. 2 litter mates should be ok, but you'd need to watch them around sexual maturity as they may get grumpy with each other.
We had two brothers, they adored each other - you couldn't cuddle one without the other as they'd wriggle to get back to each other but were fine when held together.
I love guinea pigs but sadly cant touch them or they die something to do with being very susceptible to salmonella which I had a a very small child 53 years ago. Must be something in my immune system that they cant stand up to.
When mt daughter was young the family next door had dozens of them living free range in their walled garden
We picked up 2 brothers on Saturday, they are in a big cage and seem to be very attached to each other. The lady said they should be fine so long as there are no females about
There very cute - they're 5 months old.
Will post some pics later on
Ronnie and Reggie!
The rule with keeping boars seems to be one each of everything. So two boars would need two food bowls for instance. This is supposed to stop them fighting once they get older and a bit hormonal. But in my experience space is the key thing. They must have room to escape from each other if they feel the need. So I would definitely provide two hidey holes for them.
Pics when you get them please!
