I saw this in my Local mag and thought that if I put it on here that this lad would get a bit more exposure.

Can you help?

John Gregg is a seven year old with terminal cancer, He is attempting to enter the Guinness Book of Records for having the most number of compliment slips ( one per company please)

Please would you be kind enough to send john a compliment slip to the address below.

For obvious reasons, time is of the essence with this request and we woud be greatful fro your swift response to this correspondence.

Send them to John Gregg, 32 Shelby Road, Carshlton, Surry, SM7 1LD. Thankyou

Do you have some kind of online source for this? (BBC would be a good one)

I work for an insurance company that operates under a lot of different names and I could probably come up with handfuls of different ones to send. Just want to be assured that it is genuine that's all!

It's a hoax, don't play! We had a very similar thing sent to us a couple of years ago for a seven year old called John Clegg with terminal cancer in the same town. Coincidence?! I have no idea why anyone would want a load of compliment slips, unless they don't like the person that lives at 32 Shelby Road.

Feel a bit silly now!.... I didn't know that nice to know that the cancer treatment worked though

going to ring the mag to let them know

Why would anyone want a load of compliment slips?

To gather data easily, so that the contact addresses and telephone numbers can be used to send junk mail and unsolicited telephone sales calls to.

As I understand it (though I would be more than happy to stand corrected) if you give out a compliment ship, it shows a willingness for you to be contacted by the recipient and therefore is not covered by Data Protection Laws.
