Guinness - Competition Legal? also in competition section

Does anyone know if Guinness is competition legal.

My 18hh has a can a day. It has made a hugh difference to him but I have the regionals coming up in Feb, so if it isn't does anyone know the withdrawal period?

I feed guinness, wouldn't think it would be a problem, can you not ref to your governing competition body?

Thanks pocket, I'll give them a go, but last time I asked them about if something was a banned substance they weren't the most helpful. they told me to look in the back of the rule book, see what the ingredients were and to work it out for myself!!!

Sorry i cant help, but does guinnes put weight on?I know its good for iron, but anything else?Curious

OMG, I was thinking about this last night and was going to ask EXACTLY the same question just now! Weird...!

I want to give them some in feed to perk them up a little for eventing.

I have noticed a gain in weight since using Guinness. Take a look at the replies to same post in competition section for more info on my particular case.
